This first image in our set of jack o lantern coloring pages for kids shows one of the iconic grinning pumpkins on Halloween night.
For this image, I would use a dark purple for the night sky. For an extra spooky mood, you could add a thin layer of white acrylic paint to look like creepy mist over the image.
We have a really cool Halloween pattern to color in this jack o lantern coloring sheet! Some jack o lanterns are arranged with some creepy cobwebs for a Halloween arrangement.
For this picture, maybe you could use bright orange for the lanterns and a dark blue as a complimentary color to the orange.
Our third jack o lantern coloring printable shows a pretty happy looking pumpkin on a segmented background. What Halloween colors will you use for the different sections of the background?
I would use more dark purples, blues and maybe a different orange to the pumpkin to finish off the background, but what colors will you use?
We have a pumpkin duo for this next jack o lantern coloring page. One is looking happy and the other is looking scary, so maybe you could use different shades of orange to set them apart.
It’s a creepy Halloween night in the background with a bat flying through the night sky, so I would again use a darker color for the night sky.
A cute kitty is joining in the spooky fun in this next jack o lantern coloring sheet!
For this sweet image, I would use a nice bright orange for the jack o lantern and maybe a nice red for the background for this cute scene. What colors came to your mind for this Halloween kitty?
It’s time to go out into the cold night air for this jack o lantern printable. There’s mist in the night air, and I think that this would be another great picture to incorporate some thin white paint for a misty look to this image.
Finishing it off with more dark blue or purple for the night sky would definitely give this page a Halloween vibe.
It’s a happy Halloween for this jack o lantern coloring page! I think that this happier pumpkin could use some nice bright oranges with a lighter color for the background.
Maybe for some extra fun details you could draw in some spider webs and bats in the background!
This next jack o lantern coloring sheet features a spooky jack o lantern party! There are six pumpkins having a great time, and I think it would be a great touch to try and have each pumpkin be a different color from the next.
You could use different variations of oranges and mix in some yellows and red for some variety.
One you’ve colored in the pumpkins, what colors will you use for the background and the shapes incorporated into it?
A trio of pumpkins are here to wish you a happy Halloween in this free jack o lantern coloring page.
Maybe you could use some watercolors for everything but the eyes of the pumpkins, and then color in the eyes with colored pens to make them stand out and look like they’re glowing.
I bet that would really finish off this cool jack o lantern coloring printable!
The final page in this collection of free jack o lantern coloring sheets for kids would make for a great Halloween poster!
You could even color it in and give it as a card for someone to help them get into the Halloween spirit.
Maybe you could color in both words of happy Halloween in with a different spooky color to make this an even more dynamic image.
Once you’ve colored in the words and the pumpkin, the only thing to decide is what color you will make the background!
