One of my favorite family activities in Spring is attending Baby Animal Days. There is just something so sweet about seeing and holding baby animals. For the past few years we have attended Baby Animal Days at the USU Botanical Center in Kaysville, Utah, and I can’t say enough about how much fun my family has there. Just look at the smile on my daughter’s face last year holding a cute little chick.
Baby Animal Days is being held Friday, May 8, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Some of the animals you can expect to see are pigs, goats, lambs, calves, ponies, baby chicks and rabbits. This year they are even going to have a miniature yak! How fun is that?! Last year they had some reptiles and my kids thought they were so brave to touch a snake. Not only did we get to hold and pet several of the baby animals, but my kids were also able to have a fun horse ride.
The baby animals are my kids and my favorite part, but they have lots of other activities for the whole family to enjoy. Last year we were able to watch a sheep sheering demo and I love how it was entertaining and educational. They also have miniature train rides, bouncy houses, a climbing wall and food vendors (some of the activities may require an additional fee). My kids especially loved the face painting too! Don’t forget to bring your camera along because you are going to want to capture all of these fantastic memories!
