How To Make Your Colors Really Pop!
There are so many different opportunities for colors with these beautiful butterfly coloring pages, but there many different ways to make the colors pop and look even more unique!
One way we always encourage is to use art tools and mediums that you wouldn’t typically use. Because the details are so intricate on these butterflies, you will typically want to have mediums that allow for precision.
Some of the best mediums to use for this purpose are colored pens and pencils. These have small tips that allow for a lot of control when you’re coloring.
Crayons are an example of a medium that are too thick for precise coloring. If you want to paint, then you can use paintbrushes that have thin tips that allow you to color in small spaces.
Once you have chosen your mediums, you can then add to them with some craft materials. Glitter, stickers and special colored glues can be great for adding some pop and pizazz to your colors.
When you try out different mediums and crafts, you should feel free to mix different kinds together on the same image. This is a great way to make each color on the page stand out and interact in interesting ways.
These are a few of the ways that you can bring some amazing colors to these pictures, but now it’s up to you! You can print out a few different copies of each picture so that you can experiment with all of your colors and mediums.
The joy of experimenting is half the fun, so don’t worry about messing up, and you never know what may happen! What colors and mediums will you use?
