I am a huge fan of uppercase and lowercase letter matching activities for my preschooler. She really struggled getting a handle on lowercase letters this past year but creating all of our letter matching activities has really made a huge difference for her. Today our creative preschool theme is Bugs and I decided to put together this fun Ladybug Alphabet Match Activity for my daughter. She loved putting all the spots on the ladybugs!

Supplies you will need:
- Ladybug Alphabet Match Printable
- 75-inch black round labels (or use white labels painted black)
- white chalk marker
Directions:
1. Print off the Ladybug Alphabet Match Printable.
Download photo from the link and print it.
2. Prepare stickers by writing letters on them
Write your lowercase letters onto your black labels with your white chalk marker. NOTE: If you don’t have black labels, you can just use white labels with the letter written in black or I chose to paint my labels with black acrylic paint before writing on them.
3. Let your child add stickers to the alphabet printable
Now your child can remove one sticker at a time and find the correct match on the ladybug. I like to ask my preschooler questions while she is doing the activity like: What letter are you matching now? What sound does this letter make? Can you think of a word that starts with that letter?
I also included a blank version of the Ladybug Alphabet Match Printable so that you can customize the activity any way you choose. You can write lowercase letters inside the ladybug spots, or numbers, or you can choose to focus on only a few letters at a time. It’s completely up to you!
My daughter really enjoyed the cute ladybugs and after she was finished matching all the spots, she was able to hang it up and display it like cute artwork.
