How to Draw A Cartoon Parrot – Let’s Get Started!
Step 1
You are ready to begin this guide, and to do that we will be drawing quite a few elements of the design! Let’s start with the beak of the parrot.
This will be drawn as a rounded shape that has a pointy tip at the end, and then there will be a pointy bottom portion beneath.
Next, we will draw some curved lines with pointy tips coming from the top of the head for the feathery top of the head.
Then, the wings will go beneath the head. This will also have a rounded shape to it that has some curved feathery portions at the end.
Add another feather portion to the end of this wing, and then we will be ready for step 2!
Step 2 – Now, draw the rest of the wing
Now, you’re ready to finish off the wing of this cartoon parrot drawing. It’s looking too short at the moment, so we will extend it now. You can do this by adding one more layer to the wing.
This one will be drawn using some curved lines that are similar to the other layers, but they will be much longer this time.
That’s all there is to it for now, so let’s proceed!
Step 3 – Next, draw the eye and chest
This drawing is looking really good already! We will add the eye and the chest for this pretty parrot in this step of the guide.
You can begin the eye by drawing an oval shape with a dot inside. Then, draw a larger oval shape around this and then an even larger one around that.
To finish off the face, add a nostril onto the beak! Then, we will use a curving line coming down from the base of the neck. It will curve inward, outwards and then in again.

Step 4 – Now, draw some more details and feathers
You’re almost ready for some final details and elements for this cartoon parrot drawing! First we have some final touches for the wing and tail.
For the wing, simply draw some small curved lines onto it for some texture. Then, we will be adding some long, curved shapes down from the base of the wings in order to finish off the stunning feathers.
Once these are done, it’s on to step 5 where we shall finish off those final details we mentioned!
Step 5 – Add the final details to your cartoon parrot drawing
You will get to have some coloring fun in the final step of this guide on how to draw a cartoon parrot, but first we have a few final details to add. Specifically, we need to add the legs of the bird.
These will have rounded, feathery portions with small details on them to add some texture.
Then, the leathery, thin legs will extend from these portions and have some sharp little claws at the ends of the toes.
Once these legs are drawn, you will be ready for the final step! Before that, you can also add some extra details of your own.
There are so many ways that you could go about finishing it off. We think that drawing a background would be a fun way to add to the image!
