How To Prepare For This Spider-Man Drawing

Right before you, you will see the steps to learning how to draw Spider-Man. This is a guide that will be trickier than some, but we know that you can do it!

The reason that it can be trickier is that Spider-Man has fairly realistic proportions. This can make it tricky to draw him, as if you get the proportions a bit off, then it can throw off the whole drawing.

That’s why you can make it easier on yourself by preparing as much as possible. To make this image more manageable, we portrayed Spider-Man in a relaxed, simple pose.

This will make it easier, but there are still challenges. First, try to break down the image into its most basic shapes.

This is something we will cover in greater detail as we move on, but needless to say, it can help just to visualize how the muscles are shaped and how they relate to one another.

You can also consult additional sources to use along with the images in our guide. One of the best sources to use would be the comics, video games and films that Spidey has appeared in.

If you can find some sources that are posed similarly to our example, then that would be perfect! Using different sources can also help you to create different poses once you have the hang of this one.

If you’re still having trouble drawing the proportions, then try to find a friend or a family member with a similar physique and get them to pose for you. They’ll probably be happy to do so when they learn they will be the model for a superhero!

These are examples of easy ways to make this drawing easier, so we hope they helped as you begin this guide.
