So I had this genius idea to make individual lunch sack scrapbooks for each kid to give to my husband for Father’s Day. I am about 50% finished with all of them, and I realized with everything else I had going on this week there was just no way I was going to get them done. Boo! So me and the kids put our heads together and came up with a different quick and easy gift for him the other day.
My husband’s favorite treat is gummy worms. He could eat more gummy worms in a day than he would ever care to admit to. I had an empty soda bottle laying around the house so just like we did with our Teacher Appreciation Gift, we filled it full of Daddy’s favorite thing.
After talking for what seemed like an eternity of what we were going to name it, we ultimately decided on Slimy “Super” Pop. It all came together quickly and I know my husband will enjoy the fun treats on his long 12-hour shifts for the next month (or days LOL).
I recently received a new calling at my church in the Primary. It is the most time consuming job at church I have EVER had….Thus, the lack of crafts on the blog lately. 🙁
I happened to be in charge of Father’s Day Sharing Time this week so I’ve been spending my free time this week making 85 of these darling shirt cards I’ve seen all over Pinterest. Yep, you heard me, EIGHTY-FIVE of them. I know….I’m a little over ambitious and crazy! 🙂
I left the ties white on purpose because I decided it would be fun to let the kids use crayons to design the tie on the front of the card for their Dad. I found this cute little poem somewhere online (sorry no source!) and glued it to the inside.
I am excited with how they turned out and hopefully the Daddy’s will appreciate them tomorrow.
Happy Crafting!!
