There have been many iconic films released by Disney studios over the years, and these films have large fanbases that are passionate about them to this day.
The 1992 film Aladdin is a great example of this. It is a film filled with great humor, interesting characters and unforgettable musical numbers.
The fiery princess Jasmine is one of the main characters of the movie, and fans of the film have a lot of love for her.

How to Draw Jasmine – Let’s Get Started!
Step 1
This guide on how to draw Jasmine will begin with the outline for her head. Begin this outline with a small, oval shape for the jewel on her headband.
Then, extend some horizontal curved lines coming off of this jewel for the band of the headband. We will then be adding some wavy lines coming off of the headband for her hair around her face.
To finish off this step, use another curved line for the outline of her face. Once it looks as it does in our reference image, you will be ready for step 2 of the guide!
Step 2 – Now, draw some facial details and the start of her body
To continue this Jasmine drawing, we will be drawing her facial details along with the start of her body in this second step.
Her face is drawn in the classic Disney animation style, and that means that her eyes will be large and rounded with big circular pupils inside of them.
Then, use a simple curved line for her nose between the eyes, and then finish off her face with her smiling mouth.
Then, draw some circular shapes for the large ringed earrings that she is wearing on her ears. Next, extend some short, curved lines down from her face for her neck, and then draw the start of the top that she is wearing.
Finish off by drawing the ponytail of her hair, and then it will be time for the next part.
Step 3 – Draw the next portion of her body
In this third step of our guide on how to draw Jasmine, we will be creating the next section of her body.
First, draw a simple diamond shape at the center of the thin rim of the top that you drew in the previous step.
Then, use some curved lines for her chest and back that will then extend down to her thin waist.
At her waist, draw a round broach that is attached to a belt strap, and then finish off with some pointy lines for the top of the skirt she’s wearing.
Finally, draw an arm coming down from each sleeve of her outfit before you proceed to finish off this step with the rest of her long ponytail.
Step 4 – Next, draw the rest of her flowy skirt
We will be drawing the rest of her skirt in this part of your Jasmine drawing. This looks quite complicated, as there are many curved and flowy lines to make it look like soft, silky fabric.
While all of these details may look complex, if you take it slowly and follow the image then it can be made much easier!
Try to think of it in terms of the different sections that it is made of. The skirt has an opening at the center that billows outwards.
The skirt will be silky and somewhat transparent, and you will also be able to see her pant legs beneath it.
You can draw these pants legs using some rounded lines. When you have added all of these details, you will then be ready for the final details in the next step!
Step 5 – Add the final details to your Jasmine drawing
Before you add some color to your artwork, we have a few final details and elements to add in this step of our guide on how to draw Jasmine!
The main thing to add will be her shoes at the base of her pants legs. Her shoes are drawn with some curved lines to give them sound rounded, pointy tips to them.
Once you have finished her shoes, you can also add some additional details of your own!
You could create a background or even add some more characters from the films for just a few ideas. What else can you think of to finish it off?
Step 6 – Finish off your Jasmine drawing with color
When it came to coloring in our example of this Jasmine drawing, we went with the classic colors she is seen with in the films.
That means we used various shades of light blues and turquoise to color the various parts of her attire.
Then, we finished off with rich blacks for her hair and some gold for the various pieces of jewelry she is wearing.

The setting of the films is iconic as well. The desert land of Agrabah is the setting of the movies, and it has many locations you could use as a background for your artwork.
You could start by choosing some of your favorite scenes from the film. Like many classic Disney films, the movie has a gorgeous hand-drawn background.
You could replicate this look by using paint mediums to depict your chosen background location. What locations could you use for the background of your depiction of Jasmine?
This Jasmine drawing shows her in a fairly relaxed pose, and you could shake things up by creating alternate versions. You could refer to the movies to get some ideas for poses.
Then, you could use these stills from the films as a reference point for your new take on the character. This would also be a great way to replicate favorite scenes from the films, as you could pair the pose with the appropriate backgrounds.
The Alladin films are filled with many memorable songs and quotes. You could use these in your Jasmine sketch by using some text in the image.
For example, there may be a line from a classic song that you love. Once again, you could look at replicating the scene the song is from by drawing the pose and background.
Then, add the text from that song to finish off the effect. Which line or song would you like to represent in this image?
