Create A Human Heart Drawing By Watching These Steps
How to Draw A Human Heart – Let’s Get Started!
Step 1
For this first step of our guide on how to draw a human heart, we will start with some outlines for the heart. We will start with the aorta, which is the pipe-like part at the top of the heart.
Use some curved lines for this aorta with a small oval shape at the tip of it. This will then be connected to a rounded shape beneath it, with a curved line on the left-hand side of it.
Once you have that part drawn, you could use another rounded line for the body of the heart beneath it. You have replicated the lines in our reference image, you’re ready for step 2!
Step 2 – Next, draw some veins and more of the outline
The main job of the heart is to pump blood throughout the body, and this is helped by veins and other chambers, so we shall draw some veins in this part of your human heart drawing.
To draw these veins, simply use lots of curvy, twisty lines on the interior of the heart to make the veins snaking throughout the heart. Then it’s on to step 3 for more of the drawing.
Step 3 – Draw some more of the heart outline
In this third part of our guide on how to draw a human heart, we will be adding more of the heart outline. Simply use another curved line for the rest of the outline for the main body of the heart.
Then, once that outline is done we will add some more veins onto it that will look very similar to the ones you drew in the last step.
Then, you can add a small, round shape on the top right-hand side of the heart, as shown in the reference image.
Step 4 – Now, draw some more of the heart
Your human heart drawing is looking great already! In this step, we shall be adding some more parts onto the top of the heart.
First, use two curved lines at the top of the heart for one of the larger chambers of the heart. It will also have some thin and subtle lines on it for some extra detail.
Then there will be another shape on the top right side of the heart that has more aortas sticking out of it.
There will also be some minor details on it that you can draw with some small, curved lines. Then it’s on to some final details in the next step before you color in your heart!
Step 5 – Finish off the details and touches of your human heart drawing
This fifth step of our guide on how to draw a human heart will be all about finishing off the final details of your picture.
The details that we will be adding will be going on the top left-hand side of the heart. You can use some curved lines for the aortas poking off that side of the top of the heart.
With those final details, you have finished all of the steps in this guide! You don’t have to stop there, as there are lots more details that you could add to finish it off.
One idea you could go with would be to look up a diagram of a human heart and label the different parts of the heart.
You could also draw some more organs to go with it or incorporate it into a cool design. These are just a few ideas that you could go with, but what else can you think of to finish off this drawing?
Step 6 – Finish off your human heart drawing with some color
For this final part of our human heart drawing, we will be finishing off with some incredible colors!
In our reference image, we went with some shades of pink to give it a realistic, fleshy look, but these colors are just a suggestion.
You could also use some colors of your own to finish it off, and even if you keep it more realistic there are colors that you can bring into the mix.
You could also go for a more stylistic image by using your favorite bright and vibrant colors to give it a cool look.
Then it’s just a matter of choosing which art mediums you will use to achieve your colors.
For bright colors you could use some mediums such as acrylics and colored pens, but for some more muted tones you could use watercolors or colored pencils.
These are just a few ideas, but what colors and mediums will you use to finish it off?
