The Lorax Dr Seuss Kids Craft

We have been having a Dr. Seuss-inspired week! So far we’ve had fun with The Cat in the Hat and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and today I’m sharing one of my absolute favorites, The Lorax. We enjoy the book, but hands down, The Lorax movie has to be one of my kids’ all-time favorite movies. Confession…I’m pretty sure I love it as much as my kids too. After reading the book or watching the movie, whip out some colorful cupcake liners and have fun making this adorable Lorax craft.

Supplies you will need:

Directions:

1. Start by ripping along the bottom of your green sheet of cardstock paper and glue it onto the bottom of your blue sheet of cardstock paper.
2. Cut out the pieces you’ll need for your Lorax. You’ll need two arms and legs from your orange paper and 2 eyebrows and a mustache from your yellow cardstock paper.
3. Glue the orange cupcake liner, arms and legs onto your Lorax. Then glue your eyebrows, mustache and googly eyes onto the Lorax.
4. Press down your 2 paper straws to make them as flat as you can. Also, make slits all the way around your two mini cupcake liners.
5. Trim your straws to make them different lengths and glue them onto your paper. Glue your mini cupcake liners at the top of your straws.
