We always like to keep New Year’s Eve pretty simple around my house…playing games, staying up till midnight, reminiscing over the fun things we’ve done through the year and making goals for the year ahead. We also love making festive decorations and fun food for our celebration. Today I’m sharing these New Year’s Eve DIY Cupcake Toppers that make a perfect festive treat for your New Year’s party and celebration. HOW TO MAKE NEW YEAR’S EVE DIY CUPCAKE TOPPERS

Supplies you will need:

Directions:

1. Start by printing off the star cupcake topper printable onto black cardstock paper. Cut out the stars.

2. Use your number stamps and gold ink pad to stamp the number 16 onto your black stars. Then use your gold metallic marker to draw dots and/or lines along the edge of your stars.

3. Cut your paper straws in half. Attach your straws to the back of your stars with a piece of tape.

4. Cut off about five strands of your gold tinsel. Tie them in a knot around your paper straw right underneath your star. Use your scissors to carefully curl the ends of the tinsel.

We placed our cupcakes inside some gold foil cupcake liners
to make them extra festive and sprinkled them with gold sugar sprinkles. Then we placed our cheerful New Year’s Eve DIY Cupcake Toppers down into our cupcakes.
