The series is known not only for its characters and stories but also the visual designs of many aspects. One of the most popular of these designs is the iconic Stormtrooper helmet.

How to Draw A Stormtrooper Helmet – Let’s Get Started!
Step 1
We will take things from the top in a very literal way as we begin this guide on how to draw a Stormtrooper helmet.
You can get things started by drawing a long, thin rim that will run the complete length of the helmet. Once that is drawn, you can then add a curved line above it for the domed top of the helmet.
The top of the helmet will be quite rounded, but the very top will actually be a bit flat. That’s all you need to do for this step, so now you’re ready for the second step of the guide!
Step 2 – Now, draw the top left-hand side of the helmet
For the second part of this Stormtrooper helmet drawing, we will be drawing the top left-hand side of the helmet. First, we will be drawing the left eye of the helmet.
This will take on a triangular wedge shape with the thin part angled inward. This eye section will also have some detailing inside of it to give it some depth.
Then, use a straight line for the top of this side of the helmet, and then this will extend into the filter part on the lower side.
You can then finish off this step by drawing some rounded shapes on the top left. When it looks as it does in our reference image we will continue adding to the helmet in the next part.
Step 3 – Draw the top right-hand side of the helmet
This third step of our guide on how to draw a Stormtrooper helmet will see you essentially mirroring what you did in the previous step.
That means that you will be drawing another eye section along with the other parts of the upper side of the helmet. When drawing these elements, try your best to keep it looking as symmetrical as you can.
You can then finish off this step by adding a curved line to the left-hand side of the domed portion of the top of the helmet. Then you can move on to step 4!
Step 4 – Next, draw the front of the helmet
The next few steps of this Stormtrooper helmet drawing will be all about finishing off the final details and elements.
First, we will start the front section that would be going over the nose. This thin shape will be drawn using two curved, wavy lines that connect at each end.
Then, draw some vertical lines along the inside of this flat shape.
Next, we will be drawing the start of the front vent of the mouth portion for the helmet. Draw a rounded section at the bottom right side of the helmet, and then draw a small part sticking out of a little indent in the section.
It may sound a bit tricky, but it will become clear if you refer to the reference image!
Finish off this step by drawing several thin vertical shapes of varying heights next to one another.
Step 5 – Add the final details to your Stormtrooper helmet drawing
Now you’re ready to finish off the final details and elements in this step of our guide on how to draw a Stormtrooper helmet.
To start this, you can again mirror what you did in the last step to replicate the vent section for the other side of the lower portion of the helmet.
Then, when the design of the helmet is complete we will then finish off by adding some curvy line details throughout the entirety of the helmet.
These details will help to make the helmet look a bit shinier.

The classic Stormtrooper helmet design has a white and black color scheme, but in our example image we went with a silver color scheme variation.
You could go for a similar look for your own drawing, but there are plenty of different variations you could choose from the films and other Star Wars media!

This is the classic stormtrooper helmet design, but there are a few different variations. You could add some of these next to the regular stormtrooper helmet to show the different kinds.
Some would include the First Order stormtrooper helmet or the stormtrooper pilot helmet. If you need some inspiration or help with these helmets, you could look up some of these helmets online.
The Star Wars series is filled with many awesome masks and helmets, and you could add some of these as well, even if they are not related to stormtroopers.
