Handprint Cherry Blossom Tree Kids Craft

I love seeing all the creative cherry blossom crafts in spring from fellow bloggers. We decided to get on the band wagon and made this handprint tree full of cherry blossoms similar to our Handprint Apple Tree. I love the mixtures of pink on the coffee filter and how they combine so well with the added pink tissue paper. Read below how simple it is to make.

Supplies you will need:

  • light blue cardstock paper(12″ x 12″)
  • brown cardstock paper
  • coffee filter
  • 2 tones of pink acrylic paint
  • foam brush
  • dark and light pink tissue papersquares
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue
Directions:
1. Start by using your two different tones of pink paint and paint your coffee filter. Let it dry completely.

2. Trace your child’s hand and part of their arm on your brown cardstock paper and have them cut it out.

3. Glue your painted coffee filter and handprint onto your blue cardstock paper.

4. Crinkle your light and dark pink tissue paper squares and glue them onto your tree, around the finger branches and some around the coffee filter.

Now you have a beautiful blossomed cherry tree craft, perfect for Spring!
