Supplies needed:
- old scratched CD(or purchase them on Amazon)
- blue, green or orange cardstock or construction paper
- blue and green paint
- green colored feathers (or color of your choice)
- googly eyes
- sequins
- cocktail frill toothpicks (optional)
- scissors
- tacky glue
- tape
Tutorial:
1. Paint fingerprints on CD
Start by painting green and blue fingerprints on the top half of your CD and set it aside to dry.
2. Cut hand & peacock body shapes
Trace your child’s hand 3 times on your green cardstock paper and cut them out. Also, cut a peacock body out of your blue cardstock paper. I let my preschooler do all of the cutting for her peacock so she could get in some great scissor practice.
3. Glue feathers on CD
Once your paint has finished drying, glue your green feathers onto the back of the CD behind your painted fingerprints.
4. Add feathers
Then glue your handprints onto your green feathers.
5. Glue toothpicks
Glue your 3 cocktail toothpicks onto the back of your peacock head and then place a piece of tape over them to hold them in place.
6. Attach body to the CD
7. Add clothespins
