Have you ever seen a moose in the wild? They are incredible creatures! My oldest son recently had an experience seeing a bull moose chasing a cow moose down the mountainside with her calf and it inspired this darling moose craft we are sharing today. In this post learn how to make this cute Christmas moose craft with our helpful template, step-by-step tutorial and video.
You’ll notice our moose craft is made Christmasy and festive with Christmas lights tangled around it’s antlers. Not only does this add a fun Christmas element to the craft but the yarn wrapping is great for little ones to work on fine motor skills.

Cut off a piece of black yarn about 18-24 inches long. Tape the end of the black yarn at the base of one of the antlers on the back side of the moose. Wrap the yarn around the antlers several times until you reach the opposite end of the antler. Tape the yarn down on the back of the antler and cut off any excess yarn. Repeat step 4 again with another piece of black yarn for the second moose antler.

Attach a small Glue Dot to the back of several small colorful poms. (You could also use a glue gun.) Glue the small poms on the black yarn to look like colorful Christmas lights.

Glue the ears on your moose craft. Then glue two googly eyes on your moose.
