“Thankful for You” Treat Bags

I have some really good friends in my neighborhood. They are the kind of friends that the thought of ever having to move away would definitely make me cry. I wanted to do a little something special to let them know that I was thankful for them this month so I made these cute little treat bags with the simple message “Thankful for You”.

I bought the little yellow chevron bags from Pick Your Plum. I folded a small doily over the top with a 2″ yellow circle with “Thankful for You” printed on it. I clipped it together with these Turkey Clothespin Clips I made.

I’ve started making them every holiday after being inspired by One Artsy Mama. They are so simple! Cover a clothespin with washi tape and add a sticker at the top. For these turkey ones, I found the stickers at the dollar section at Target. I didn’t like how they looked with just one turkey sticker, so I doubled them together with a second color showing through the back. I also added a black eye with a dot of black puffy paint and I added more feathers with gold glitter glue. I purchased my washi tape from Pick Your Plum but you can get it at any craft store.

So what did I stuff in my bags? I could have been all extra creative and baked something at home, but I saw these adorable shortbread cookies at Costco and couldn’t resist them. Two of them worked perfectly in each bag and then there were still plenty left for my family to not feel left out.  🙂

These would work great for preschool or friend treats for your children as well! I know my kids love making the clothespin clips! You can customize any message on the 2″ circle or write directly on the doily.
