Love Bug Valentine Card

Since Valentine’s Day is less than 2 weeks away, we’ve been making some fun Valentine Cards for some of our family members. We’ve already made a Bee Mine Card and now we decided to make cute little Love Bug Cards. These are simple enough for kids to put together themselves so they make a great Valentine’s Day Kids Craft.

Supplies you will need:

Directions:
1. Start by cutting out a circle from your red and black cardstock paper with your 2-inch circle punch. Cut the red circle in half.
2. Use your small heart punch to cut out 4 black hearts and 2 red hearts.
3. Glue your black circle onto your folded card, then glue your two red circle halves onto the black circle to make Ladybug wings.
4. Glue your black hearts onto the Ladybug wings and your red hearts on top of the Ladybug to make antenna.
5. Use your black marker to draw Ladybug antenna from the top of the Ladybug to the red hearts.
6. Finish your Love Bug Card by using your black marker to write on the front and inside of your card. To tie in with the Love Bug theme we wrote “Hey Love Bug… Happy Valentine’s Day!”
We also made a card with two Ladybugs on the front for my Sister and her husband. On the front we wrote “Hey Love Bugs…” and on the inside we wrote Happy Valentine’s Day. We were all out of our tiny googly eyes, but if you have some, they would be a great touch to add to the Ladybugs.
