God Made You Subway Art Canvases

I’m super excited to show you my latest Pinterest-inspired project. I saw these brilliant God Made You Subway Art Canvases over at The Creative Imperative and my jaw dropped. They are awesome!! Since I am slowly in the process of decorating my boys’ bedroom, I decided these were the perfect touch to hang above their dresser.

Jamie generously provides a great tutorial on her blog which I followed to make my canvases but she also has an etsy shop where you can custom order one and she will make it for you. I just so happened to have the program she used to make her prints (Adobe Illustrator) so making them myself wasn’t too difficult.

My Art Canvases are 16″ x 20″ and I ended up having my prints made at Costco as a poster. They worked just the same as a regular print and the whole project ended up being so simple to put together with the help of Jamie’s tutorial.

One thing I will say is I spent A LOT of time trying to make sure I chose the perfect words to describe my boys’ personalities. I thought I had them just perfect but after I had them all made I suddenly thought of all different sorts of words I wished I would have added or used instead. Oh well. Above anything, I love that they have the reminder in their bedroom of how special they are.
