Cupcake Liner Owl Puppet Kids Craft

We are continuing our love of bird crafts this week and are sharing this adorable Cupcake Liner Owl Puppet Kids Craft today. They are super, duper simple to make and the kids will have a hoot playing with them as puppets. We used solid color cupcake liners for wings, but you can always get fancy with polka-dot or patterned liners to give them more of a wacky personality.

HOW TO MAKE A CUPCAKE LINER OWL PUPPET KIDS CRAFT

Supplies you will need:

Directions:
1. Start by flattening your unbleached cupcake liner and gluing it onto your white cardstock paper. Cut out the cupcake liner circle and then cut a U-shape in the top of the cupcake liner to make an owl shape.
2. Glue your googly eyes onto your owl and an orange triangle beak.
3. Use your markers to draw squiggle lines at the bottom of your cupcake liner to make feathers on your owl.
4. Cut your mini cupcake liner in half and glue one half on each side of the owl for the wings.
5. Finish your owl by gluing it onto your jumbo craft stick with your tacky glue.
What makes these owls really fun is how kids can customize them with different colors and patterns and each make a truly unique owl. Try using patterned mini cupcake liners for the wings, or try a bright color for the body to give your owl some extra personality.
