Cupcake Liner Christmas Tree Art

Cupcake Liners make the perfect base for Christmas Tree Art. I actually made this craft last year but never got around to writing up a post about it. Now that Christmas is around the corner I have the opportunity to share it with you.

Supplies you will need:
  • sheet of cardstock paper (whatever color you want to use for your background)
  • white sheet of cardstock paper
  • 6 green cupcake liners
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • small piece of brown paper
  • small piece of gold paper (or a star foam sticker)
  • glitter glue
  • sequins
  • white paint
  • small paper plate
  • pencil (with a good eraser)
Directions:
1. Start by cutting a small snowy hill out of your white cardstock paper and then glue it to the bottom of your colored cardstock paper.
2. Now get your cupcake liners ready to make your Christmas trees. (I am out of green liners right now so my tutorial pictures below use blue liners.) Fold two cupcake liners in half. Set them aside. Fold 2 cupcake liners in half, and then trim off a small amount on each side. Set those aside.
3. Fold two cupcake liners in half and then half again. Use your glue stick to open up the fold of the cupcake liners and add some glue to hold them in place. When you stack the three different sizes together you have your Christmas tree.
4. Glue your cupcake liners onto your cardstock paper to make two Christmas trees. Glue them close to your snowy hill.
5. Cut two tree trunks out of your brown paper and glue them to the bottom of your Christmas trees.
6. Cut two stars out of our gold paper and glue them to the top of your trees. (Or you can use star foam stickers)
7. Decorate your Christmas trees with glitter glue and sequins.
8. Pour a small amount of white paint onto a small paper plate. Dip the eraser of your pencil into the white paint and then stamp it onto your paper to make snow falling. Continue stamping snowflakes all over your paper.
